The Atlanta Braves exercised their 2027 club options on outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. and second baseman Ozzie Albies on Thursday.
Acuna will make $17 million next year while Albies will make $7 million.
The Braves picked up the first of two club options on Acuna, who signed an eight-year, $100 million extension with the club in 2019. He has another $17 million club option for 2028. This was the second of two club options on Albies, who signed a seven-year, $35 million extension in 2019.
Acuna, who turns 29 in December, was limited to 107 regular-season games in 2026 because of injuries. He went on the injured list twice for hamstring strains, on May 3 and June 10. When he was available, he batted .255 with 20 home runs, 55 RBIs and 21 stolen bases in 469 plate appearances.
He has had two seasons (2019, 2023) during the extension where he appeared in 150-plus games.
Albies, who turns 30 in January, played in all 162 games this year. He batted .237 with 22 homers, 73 RBIs and 85 runs scored. He led the major leagues with 158 games played at second base as he completed his 10th season with the club.
The Braves also announced that they had activated four pitchers from the 60-day injured list: right-handers Spencer Schwellenbach, Spencer Strider and Hurston Waldrep and left-hander Joey Wentz.
